Before you delete
Cancel your subscription first.
Deleting your account removes your data, but it does not by itself cancel a paid subscription. Cancel under Account → Subscription on the web before you delete, so you are not billed again.
- Just need a break? Deactivating hides you from everyone and keeps your history for when you come back.
- If you are the only administrator of a program or organization, deleting your account also closes it — read this first.
- Deletion is permanent. After 30 days your check-ins and history are gone and cannot be recovered.
How to delete
In the app (iPhone or Android)
- Open Settings.
- Tap Account, then Delete account.
- Read what will be removed, then confirm.
On the web
- Sign in and open my.fasterscale.app/account.
- Under Account status, choose Delete permanently.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
Either way, you are signed out everywhere as soon as you confirm.
Deactivate or delete?
Deactivate
- You are hidden from your groups, leaders and chats immediately, and signed out everywhere.
- Nothing is deleted. Your check-ins, history and settings are kept exactly as they are.
- Sign in again at any time to reactivate — your groups come back with you.
- Your program or organization membership and its billing are unchanged; ask your program to remove you if you want that to stop.
- Your own subscription is not changed. To stop paying, cancel it under Account → Subscription.
Delete
- Your sign-in is revoked immediately and cannot be restored.
- You are removed from every group, chat channel and program roster, and your name is removed from messages you posted.
- After 30 days your profile, check-ins, memberships and other personal data are erased.
- Cannot be undone.
What happens when you delete
Immediately
- Your sign-in is revoked and you are signed out of every device.
- You are removed from every group, chat channel, and program or organization roster.
- Your name on messages, comments and prayer requests you posted is replaced with “Deleted user”.
- Invitations you sent that are still pending are cancelled.
After 30 days
- All of your check-ins and their history are deleted.
- Your profile, sign-in credentials and settings are deleted.
- Your group, program and organization memberships are deleted.
- Invitations you sent or received, feedback you submitted, and our records of emails sent to you are deleted.
- The text of messages, comments and prayer requests you posted in shared groups is replaced with “[deleted]”. The empty entries stay so other members’ conversations still make sense.
What is kept
- A minimal record of the deletion itself — an account identifier, the date and the action — in our audit log. It contains no name and no health information.
The 30-day window exists so a deletion made by mistake or under pressure can still be investigated. If that is your situation, email support@fasterscale.app within that time.
If you administer a program or organization
A program or organization cannot exist without an administrator. If you are its only administrator, deleting your account also closes it. You will be asked to confirm this before anything happens. When it closes:
- Its subscription is cancelled that day.
- Its groups are archived.
- Every member and leader keeps full access for 14 days and is invited to continue with their own subscription. They are told by email.
If you would rather hand the program or organization to someone else, email support@fasterscale.app before you delete your account.
If you can’t sign in
You can ask us to delete your account by email. Write to support@fasterscale.app with the subject line “Delete my account” from the email address on your account, and include your username. We will confirm that the request really comes from you, then delete the account on the same schedule described above and let you know when it is done.
